Privacy Policy

In short

Every FILMU feature runs on your iPhone. There is no login or account, and your photos, videos, voice recordings and settings are never sent to our servers or to any other company.

What the app handles on your device

• Camera and microphone input: used only while you take photos or videos or record your voice
• Photos and videos you pick in the system photo picker: used only for editing, voice-overs and captions (FILMU never accesses your whole library)
• App settings: favorite filters, your custom filters, date-stamp style and position, and capture settings, kept in on-device storage
• Temporary working files: kept inside the app while a video or sound is being made, and deleted when you close the screen or the next time you open the app

We can't see this information, and it never leaves your device.

Permissions

• Camera: to take photos and videos
• Microphone: to record sound for videos and to record your voice over photos and videos
• Add Photos Only: to save finished photos and videos to Photos (it cannot read your existing photos)

FILMU asks for each permission only when you first use the feature, and you can change them anytime in iPhone Settings → FILMU. FILMU does not ask for location access.

Date and location in photos

When you edit a photo from your library and save it, FILMU copies the capture date and location already stored in the original photo into the new one. This happens only on your device and is never sent to us.

Sharing and processors

We don't share personal data with third parties or use any data processors. FILMU contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and it has no network features.

Information handled by Apple

Downloads and updates are handled by the App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you turned on Share With App Developers in iPhone Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash and diagnostic reports, which we use only to improve the app.

Retention and deletion

We don't store any personal data. Deleting the app removes its settings and temporary files. Photos and videos you saved stay in your Photos library, where you manage them yourself.

Your rights

Because we don't collect or store personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can still contact us with any privacy question.

Children

FILMU does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Future changes

If paid features (FILMU+) are added, payments will be handled by Apple through the App Store and we won't receive your payment details. If a new feature ever processes personal data, we'll update this policy before it takes effect and let you know in the app or on this page.
